A certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA) helps couples and their attorneys achieve equitable divorce settlements using knowledge of tax law, asset distribution, and short- and long-term financial planning. A CDFA can provide in-depth financial analysis and advice to attorneys and couples relating to the divorce.

When will the certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA®) certification exam change?

We wish to inform you that, effective Thursday, August 1, 2024, the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA) will transition our Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) Program certification exams from Pearson VUE to Prometric. We will provide further details regarding the new testing arrangements and providers soon.
